About the Artist

John Gaydos was a graduate of William Allen High School. He was inspired to draw and paint by art teacher James P. Musselman, a nationally-known artist. John earned his BFA from Philadelphia College of Art, later known as University of the Arts, in Philadelphia. He continued his study painting and digital imaging at Tyler School of Art, Kutztown University, and Rochester Institute of Technology. John’s sensitivity to color and design, and talent with digital media were put to good use at Domco-Tarkett, Inc. in Whitehall where he was a Senior Designer and Computer Graphics Specialist.

A short hiatus from designing led John to Northampton Community College where he used his creative energy to earned a degree in culinary arts. John’s artwork appeared in juried exhibitions throughout the region, and is included in various private and corporate collections. 

John passed away in 2022.
